In Parsa, a case has been registered against RSP Chairman and former Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichhane for embezzling Rs 57.4 million from the Sano Paila Cooperative. He is in Bhairahawa jail, linked to a larger case of Supreme Cooperative fraud in which 29 individuals are charged with misappropriating a total of Rs 1.32 billion. The fugitive cooperative had about 800 depositors and was operated by GB Rai, who had allegedly transferred millions of dollars to different companies such as Nature Hub International, Nature Nest Pvt. Ltd., and SpringWood Real Estate.
