The Patan High Court has also given a temporary interim controlling restraining order against the arrest of journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak, who had moved the court seeking an arrest warrant issued against him in connection with a video uploaded to YouTube, coupled with the Hilton hotel and Jaybir Deuba. Citing that Pathak cannot be arrested in any other way other than legally, the court has declared that both sides should be presented to the court on June 19.
Until then, he cannot be arrested by the police. The Nepal Police Cyber Bureau received the arrest warrant under the Electronic Transactions Act after a complaint regarding the video received criticism from the public, who suspected that the court may have overstepped its jurisdiction.
