267 People Arrested

267 individuals have been arrested on the allegations of looting, vandalism, and arson during the Gen Z protest on September 8 and 9 by the police in Kathmandu. This has registered 154 cases of attack on government offices, businesses, the Supreme Court, and the CIAA. Arrests have been made of five individuals who visited the Supreme Court to vandalize it, and the police are yet to find the other persons. The government indicated that 49 individuals had been murdered in Kathmandu during the riot, and seven others could not be identified, with completely burnt bodies being discovered at Bhatbhateni in Chuchchepati. The facts are being investigated, with a few suspects being on bail whilst others remain in custody awaiting what to do next.
