Nagdhunga-Naubise road to remain partially closed for 10 nights

Vehicles on the road, long traffic jam

The Piplamod section of the Nagdhunga–Naubise road will undergo nightly closures from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. for 10 days beginning Monday for road improvement work that involves removing the existing blacktop from a 1.8-kilometer stretch. According to Keshav Prasad Ojha, who leads the eastern section of the Nagdhunga–Muglin road project, emergency vehicles remain the only authorized traffic during the closure period. The public needs to follow different travel paths from May 14 until the closure period ends. The road upgrade is a broader initiative to enhance the Nagdhunga–Muglin highway that handles more than 10,000 vehicles daily.
