It is reported that Samsung is getting involved in the space business, hoping to build components of launch pads and spacecraft equipment. The group is partnering with Seoul National University to set up a research center dedicated to aerospace. Samsung could also test its semiconductors under extreme radiation found in space. By doing this, South Korea could achieve faster growth in space and its economy. Even though space ventures are not definitive, Samsung is signaling a move from mobile phones to space projects.
