CIAA caught the Mayor of Kalyanpur Municipality, Rampukar Sah, red-handed for taking a bribe of Rs 100,000 in his office. He was supposedly asking a consumer committee to pay him a 20% commission to release a payment of Rs 2 million drainage project. The committee declined, and Sah withheld the payment and subsequently coerced them to pay Rs 100,000. CIAA has verified his arrest and is investigating what happened.
