Birgunj Metropolitan City has decided to prolong the suspension of all schools till August 29 in an effort to reduce the spread of cholera. The decision, made in a gathering presided over by the mayor, applies to community and institutional schools. Authorities have also requested the teachers and staff members to create teams and raise awareness among the people of the community. On Sunday and Monday, the schools were already closed on the same grounds.
