A number of dead crows found around Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur have been confirmed to have bird flu after lab tests. Authorities have picked and buried a number of crows and are now conducting tests on other birds as well. “It is difficult for us to control bird flu in wild birds because they are mobile. As a precautionary measure, we have alerted people not to carry chicken feed in the area. We have confirmed that two different bird flu viruses are present in crows.”
