The parties with which the House of Representatives is to be voted on March 5, 2026, have until the end of the day to register with the Election Commission. Among the 135 parties registered with the EC, only the ones that are applicable till today are permitted to contest. The registration of the parties was already done by Tuesday evening, involving 80 parties, including the largest ones such as Nepali Congress, CPN UML, and NCP, and thus, more parties are set to be registered before the cutoff. Documents between Mangsir 11 and 18 will be examined by EC after the deadline, and the final list of approved parties will be posted on December 6.
