Flights at Taksar Airport in Bhojpur started again after being stopped for three months. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) resumed flights on Tuesday, said Prakash Khadka, the NAC Bhojpur Station Chief. The airline also shared a new flight schedule. Flights were stopped because the Twin Otter aircraft needed repairs.
Since 1978 NAC has been the only airline operating flights to Bhojpur. The airport’s runway is only 20 meters wide and 545 meters long. Many people experienced issues as a result of the flight ban, particularly ill patients who required immediate medical attention. Because there were fewer options for transportation, other passengers also had challenges. For trips to Bhojpur, NAC operates two small aircraft.
