Taiwan saw an increase in Chinese military activity near its territory

Taiwan recorded 21 Chinese aircraft, 6 naval vessels, and 2 official ships near its territory on Tuesday. Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence shared the details on X, saying the activity was tracked until 6 AM (UTC+8). It was reported that 20 aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan’s northern, southwestern, and southeastern air defense zones.

On Monday, Taiwan detected 9 aircraft, 8 naval vessels, and 2 official ships. On Sunday, it recorded 13 aircraft, 8 vessels, and 2 official ships. Saturday saw a sharp rise in activity, with Taiwan detecting 47 aircraft and 7 naval vessels. In response, Taiwan is considering a rule that will require all ships to have tracking systems to monitor movements and prevent Chinese incursions. Taiwan’s annual military drills will focus on China’s growing “gray zone” tactics and a possible invasion by 2027, a key year in global defense discussions.
