The government led by Gen Z, formed under former Chief Justice Sushila Karki, is facing criticism just three months after taking office. Although it was created to fight corruption and nepotism, the administration is now accused of the same issues. The prime minister’s chief personal secretary appointed his wife to a high post, causing public outrage. Gen Z activists have demanded his removal. In the meantime, Minister Kulman Ghising has created his own political party whilst remaining in the Cabinet, creating some ethical concerns. Although it promises to be a clean government, the citizen government is currently being pressured to look into increasing claims of favoritism and abuse of power.
