Rain Brings Relief From Pollution in Kathmandu

rainfall after pollution in Kathmandu

Kathmandu Valley received light rainfall on Wednesday afternoon, and it is expected to continue here until Thursday evening. Western and Bay of Bengal winds have brought the rain to eastern Terai districts like Jhapa and Morang. The rains are likely to help reduce high levels of air pollution that had afflicted Kathmandu and other places and made people sick. Some of the affected regions will continue to receive rain for a few days, which will improve the air quality in several provinces.
