Durga Prasai, a controversial pro-monarchy businessman, is in police custody in Nepal after being arrested in India and brought back through the Kakarbhitta border. He fled following a violent protest he led in Kathmandu on March 28, which led to two deaths, 129 injured, and massive property damage. Several political figures, including leaders of the RPP Rabindra Mishra and Dhawal Shamsher Rana, had also been arrested as authorities are investigating the incident as sedition and organized crime.
