Nepal to launch Nationwide Screening for Non-Communicable Diseases Next Fiscal Year

With NCDs accounting for 71% of deaths, officials stress early diagnosis to reduce complications. The Ministry of Health plans to screen for NCDs across all 753 local units. To boost early detection and prevention of non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes, Nepal will launch nationwide screening from the fiscal year 2025-26.
