The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned the residents of the Valley, especially the people living along the rivers, to be cautious, as heavy rainfall was recorded overnight in the valley. The rivers like Bagmati, Bishnumati, and Dhobikhola have risen to near or touch the danger levels. The Bagmati river in Gaurighat and Dhobikhola in Chabahil have already surfed the alert mark. People who stay in riverside and low-lying zones, and even those who use the riverbank roads, are encouraged to be cautious. Other similar alerts have been given to Gorkha as well, owing to excessive precipitation and floods.
