Gauri Shankar Ram Chamar, who survived the Rautahat bomb blast of 2008, has come out as a victim to the earlier acquittal of the Nepali Congress leader, Mohammad Aftab Alam by the High court, explaining that his life is now threatened on the verdict, as this is not fair. Chamar, a laborer who lost all skin on his face and body as a result of serious burn damages in the brick kiln he worked at, which is reportedly owned by Alam, testified at a press conference in Kathmandu with his painful tale. According to him, Alam and his fellow associates did not help him after the explosion, and he was threatened since the time he made his statement. The victim of health problems and poverty, Chamar asked the government to prosecute Alam and not allow him to go free.
