The World Bank has increased the interest rate on loans provided to Nepal by 0.75%, with Nepal’s rise in per capita income. At an orientation program on foreign aid held on Monday by the Ministry of Finance and Nepal Economic Journalists Association(NAFIJ), Dhaniram Sharma, head of the foreign aid Coordination Division, stated that the interest rate on development assistance from the World Bank has been raised from 0.75% to 1.5%, effective from July this year.
