World Tiger Day: Nepal’s Tiger Population Grows to 355

World Tiger Day

World Tiger Day is observed each year on July 29 – a day dedicated to bringing awareness to the need for tiger conservation. With the tiger population rising in Nepal comes management, human-tiger conflict, and the demand to conserve habitat.  Nepal is estimated to have 355 tigers, and it is time to shift attention to carrying capacity and human-tiger coexistence efforts.
