Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah has already called upon Prime Minister Sushila Karki twice with requests to act on some important political and governance matters. He insisted on the arrest of former leaders KP Oli and Ramesh Lekhak concerning the crackdowns on Gen Z protesters, the detention of activist Durga Prasai, improved ministerial performance, and the dismissal of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. Although the PM reassured him that investigations would be done through due process, Balen lamented the poor readiness of the government.
