The 61st SAARC Programming Committee commenced virtually, chaired by Nepal, with all the members of the states and organizations being present. SAARC Secretary General Golam Sarwar acknowledged the support of the members and said that very soon, SAARC will mark 40 years of its establishment, and this will be a wonderful occasion to celebrate the achievements and reflect on the challenges. The decision making will be on the review and finalization of the budgets and activity calendars of the SAARC entity (Specialized Bodies and Regional Centers) in 2026.
