BMW has set a new target of reducing its carbon dioxide emissions by no less than 60 million tonnes by the year 2035, in relation to the year 2019. This revised target is an extension of its previous target of 2030 that incorporates an additional reduction of 20 million tonnes of reduction. The firm hopes to do this by consuming more renewable energy in its service locations and supply chain, enhancing the production procedures, and augmenting the volume of electric cars in its range of products. According to BMW, the steps are part of its long term strategic goal to achieve net zero emissions in the year 2050.
