Nepal Set for Reduced Winter Rainfall, Higher Temperatures

Nepal Set for Reduced Winter Rainfall

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology for Nepal, due to a total lack of any significant movement away from winter, most of Nepal will likely see below average precipitation between Dec 15th and Feb 16th, except certain northern areas, which have either an equal amount of precipitation chances or are forecasted to have a range of annual precipitation amounts ranging from normal to above normal. Many areas in the east, south, and central parts have the highest probability and likelihood that they will be within 65% of below average rainfall for this period, whereas the temperature throughout Nepal is projected to remain warmer than average temperatures.
