Construction of Access Road for Lower Seti Hydropower Project Begins

The construction of the access road for the Lower Seti Hydropower project has been initiated by Tanahun Hydropower Limited as a part of early construction activities. The project will utilize excess water released from the ongoing Hydropower project as well as the Madi River to produce electricity. The electricity will be supplied to the national grid through the construction of a 32 meter dam, a long tunnel, and a semi underground powerhouse. The project is expected to produce 520 million units of electricity annually at an estimated cost of Rs 25 billion.
