A huge natural gas deposit of 80.70 billion cubic meters has been confirmed in Bhairabi Rural Municipality 1 in Dailekh district, and this has been confirmed through the final exploration report presented by the China Geological Survey. This is a huge amount of natural gas, even more than what had earlier been estimated to be only 1.12 billion cubic meters. However, the officials of the Department of Mines and Geology are of the view that even though the natural gas storage has been confirmed, it needs to be checked whether this gas can actually be extracted or not.
