Amazon plans to shut down its Android Appstore on August 20 to double focus on in device AppStore experiences. The Windows App Store is also set to close in 2024 while remaining available on Fire TV and Fire Tablets. Customers may receive refunds for leftover Amazon Coins but details will be announced later. Apps bought from the Amazon App Store may stop working after the shutdown and the Coins program will end on the same date as the Android Appstore shutdown.
