Apple is also collaborating with Google to apply its high-performance 1.2 trillion-parameter Gemini AI model to Siri temporarily, until the implementation of official AI systems by Apple. The collaboration, however, will not incorporate the AI search and chatbot functions of Google into the systems of Apple. This action comes after Apple postponed AI upgrades in Siri until 2026 and a recent reorganization of AI leadership in the company has seen Mike Rockwell taking control over the Siri development team.
