The 16 km Araniko Highway expansion contract between Suryabinayak and Dhulikhel is just half done, even as the contract is ending. Contractors are requesting extensions, and very few extensions have been blacktopped as yet. The project, which is estimated at Rs. 8.94 billion, will help decongest the roads and also give an underpass at Sanga, but it is still on a slow pace due to logistical problems and financial limitations.
