The preparations for the Sitaram Bibaha Panchami Mahamotsav in Janakpurdham are nearly over. The lighting and cleaning are underway around the Janaki Temple and other places. The week long festival begins on Thursday with the Nagar Darshan procession and will consist of old fashioned festivities such as Phulbari Leela, Dhanushayya, Teeloktsav, Matkor, and also the big day wedding ceremony. Nepal and India are expected to be represented by many saints and devotees, though this year, the support for the festival has not been received by the government. There has been an increased level of security with police forces being present to control the masses of people.
