Rabi Lamichhane, the former home minister and chairman of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, has been released by the Chitwan District Court with a bail sum of Rs 5.4 million in connection with a cooperative fraud case involving Sahara Multipurpose Cooperative. Lamichhane has been charged with embezzling more than Rs 100 million along with three others.
