Consumer Price Inflation Increases to 3.25 Percent in a Month

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank report, the rate of inflation in Nepal has risen to 3.25 percent last month as the election is just around the corner. The rate of inflation has risen from 2.42 percent in the middle of last January. The prices of non food items and services were the main reasons for the rise in the rate of inflation. Prices of food and beverages also rose slightly. The vegetables are among those whose prices rose most, whereas pulses’ and cereal items’ prices fell. The average inflation rate for the first seven months of the current financial year is 1.92 percent, which is less than the rate of 4.86 percent for the same period last year
