A manager of Laligurans Savings and Credit Cooperative has been arrested for allegedly misusing about Rs 28.757 crore of member savings. The funds were reportedly diverted for personal and family use during his tenure. Approximately 3,500 members are affected. The arrest followed a police complaint after internal concerns about irregularities. The cooperative leadership confirmed the theft and the manager was removed from his post. Further legal action is expected as authorities investigate the case.
