Three people who returned from India to Sudurpaschim Province were confirmed to have COVID-19: two men and one woman, according to health officials. All the cases were found through surveillance at the Gauriphanta border. They have been advised by authorities to isolate themselves at home, and their samples have been taken to Kathmandu for further examination.
Due to the increase in cases in India, additional border checks are now taking place. There is not enough testing equipment available in Sudurpaschim, which could cause a delay in how quickly the outbreak is handled.
