Eight highways fully blocked

Due to monsoon-triggered flooding and landslides, eight national highways across Nepal are fully blocked, while the five other highways are now operating on a one-way traffic basis due to obstructions. Some major routes like the Pasang-Lhamu Highway in Rasuwa, Araniko Highway section at Kodari, Mid-hill highway near Shivpuri- Chalise, Bheri Corridor in Rukun West, Mid-hill Highway in Jumla, Karnali Corridor in Humla, and Koshi Highway in Sankhuwashaba have been fully blocked due to flooding and landslides. While the routes, Tokha to Chalishe, Balung to Nawalparasi, Jomsom to Lomanthang, Rolpa’s Shaheed Highway, Mid-hill highway in Galkot to Bangpa are operated with one-way traffic.
