Fire broke out in an AC bus in Lucknow at around 4:45 AM on Thursday, and 5 people, including two mothers and daughters, two sisters, and a young man, were charred to death. The bus (which was ferrying close to 80 passengers) was travelling from Begusarai, Bihar, to Delhi. Survivors said that the bus suddenly filled with smoke and caught fire. UP Police have started an investigation to establish the cause of the fire. The tragedy has generated concern all over India.
