Pokhara International Airport is making arrangements to have its first flight connection to Australia, and China Sichuan Airlines will start operations via Chengdu in September, assuming that Nepal’s Aviation Authority approves it. At the moment, Himalaya Airlines is the sole airline with routine flights flying in and out of the airport, and Bhutan Airlines is also requesting the airline to fly charter flights in and out of the airport, though it may apply to regular flights in the future. The officials feel that these new services will enhance the operations of the airport and the ease of travelling internationally for the passengers.
