Pokhara—Ride-sharing has been legalized in Gandaki Province as the cabinet approved a new regulation on Tuesday. Private vehicles can run commercially on the strength of a government license—Rs. 25,000 for two-wheelers and Rs. 50,000 for four-wheelers. It will be renewed annually, and illegal operation will be penalized by the government. Implementation and enforcement will be monitored by a committee.
