Google has officially announced that stable Android 16 is due for release in June. No exact date has been announced, but the earlier leaks had promised a June 3 release date. Google’s Allen Huang also revealed at a recent press event that the new Material 3 Expressive design will be arriving on Pixel hardware later this year, but not within the June update. Pixel owners will get Android 16 first, and other phone manufacturers will follow shortly thereafter. Samsung, for instance, is reportedly set to release its Android 16-based One UI 8 beta later this month.
