The Ministry of Health is planning to hold virtual training and meetings due to funding cuts, especially from USAID, which stopped aid after the U.S. government froze foreign assistance in January. This has affected many healthcare programs, including training for doctors and nurses.

The government is also cutting the healthcare budget, making things worse. Programs for maternal health, child care, and disease prevention are at risk. Officials say Nepal needs more health funding to continue important services, as stopping them could undo years of progress in the healthcare sector.
