Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak Defends Himself as Calls Grow For His Resignation

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is under increasing pressure to resign because of a visit visa scam that reportedly included immigration officials and human traffickers at TIA. Even though Lekhak vows to step down from politics if found guilty, the opposition and fellow Nepali Congress leaders have called for him to resign for unethical reasons. The CIAA is investigating the allegations and has seized documents. Lekhak intends to respond to Parliament soon, saying the accusations are part of a political campaign to tarnish his image.
