In Nepal, the issue of human trafficking is increasing. As of 2024/25, more than 3,490 victims were rescued and rehabilitated, and 4,300 were identified as at risk, the majority of those victims are women and girls. The government is preparing a national policy against human trafficking and is conducting sensitization programs in the form of community-police committees and school and social campaigns across the country.
