Heavy rain since Thursday night in Dablyang of Baglung Municipality-10 has caused a landslide and blocked the Kaligandaki Corridor, stopping the traffic between Baglung Bazar and the southern end. The road was also compromised, whereby a section of the road melted into the landslide, trapping the long-distance cars. The bottom of the corridor is susceptible to landslides, especially during rainy seasons. The adjacent Baglung-Balewa airport road under blacktopping was also ruined. Although the contractor, Bidari Construction Service, is rushing to clear the debris and fix the road, the officials indicate that it will take a long time to reopen it.
