Legendary Nepali climber Kami Rita Sherpa has scaled Mt. Everest for a record 31st time, breaking his own world record. He reached the summit around 4:00 am on May 27, leading the Indian Army Everest Expedition. A native of Thame, Solukhumbu, Kami Rita has been climbing since 1992 and is a senior guide at Seven Summit Treks. Over his career, he has also summited Cho Oyu 8 times, Manaslu 3 times, and once each on K2 and Lhotse. His achievement cements his legacy as the most accomplished Everest climber in history.
