Lucid Misses First Quarter Vehicle Delivery Estimates on Supplier Disruptions

Lucid Group delivered fewer vehicles than expected in the first quarter after a 29 day sales halt caused by a supplier issue with second row seats in its Lucid Gravity. The company produced 5,500 vehicles but delivered only 3,093, missing analyst estimates. Lucid also recalled 4,476 Gravity SUVs over seatbelt weld problems linked to the same supplier change. The delivery was affected by the disruption, tariffs, supply issues and a past fire at an aluminum supplier. Lucid kept a yearly target of 25,000 to 27,000 vehicles despite all these.
