Education Minister Mahabir Pun has received over 8,000 suggestions on improving Nepal’s education system and continues to get many messages daily. He has given importance to such issues as teacher management, depoliticisation of schools, the improvement of CTEVT, the change of regulations and moral education curriculum. He, however, has his team under pressure to achieve before the election. Even though task forces and committees have been established, some experts believe that some of his plans are impractical since they are very expensive, and some officials believe they are not being consulted on the final decisions. Nonetheless, the minister is prioritising the demands of youth groups and attempting to push reforms.
