SAFF U17 Women’s Championship

Nepal is left with virtually no chance to win the SAFF U17 Women’s Championship after losing 1-4 to Bangladesh in Bhutan, their second defeat to the same team in the competition. The Sauravi Akanda Prity of Bangladesh registered a hat trick, with a single goal added by Thuinuye Marma, with the Nepal side responding through captain Bhumika Budhathoki. However, Nepal has improved, but with only one win in four games, it is ranked third, with India at the top of the table with four consecutive wins, and then Bangladesh. Nepal will have its next match with India on August 29 and Bhutan on August 31.
