Nepal has also begun a national tiger census, which will help in conservation and to monitor the increasing population of tigers in the country. The survey will be conducted in four of the national parks, where it will be done using thousands of camera traps to identify individual tigers by their stripe designs. The officials will also investigate tiger habitats, the availability of prey and human and tiger conflict. Conservation efforts in Nepal have been acclaimed a success, and tigers have not only increased threefold since 2010, but other wildlife is also recovering well.
