Paddy Plantation Drops by 21 percent due to weakened monsoon in Koshi Province

Paddy Plantation Drops

Weak monsoon rain in Koshi Province has affected the paddy plantation. This results in a 21% decline in plantation compared to last year. Due to insufficient rainfall in districts like Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari, there has been reduced rice planting, raising concerns about food security. While the plantation in Solukhumbu and Khotang seems satisfactory overall, the plantation has dropped in Koshi Province.
