Prime Minister Sushila Karki got the chance to meet with Kathmandu Valley mayors, who opined that she had the capability of holding successful elections and also gave her different local issues. They demanded solutions to problems like not paying bills for streetlights, complaints of a project hanging over the road, tenure compensation, increasing thefts after the Gen-Z protests, and problems in running local offices. The mayors put pressure on the government to make bold decisions and assist them in overcoming these problems. PM Karki claimed that she is concerned with the upcoming elections and that she will attempt to address their concerns. The Kathmandu Mayor Balen, however, failed to attend the meeting.
