The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) announced a planned power outage in parts of Lalitpur yesterday. According to the notice, electricity was cut off in areas connected to the Patan feeder under the Pulchowk Distribution Center. The affected places included Bhani Mandal, Ekantakuna, Lamachaur, Summit Hotel, Bakhundol, Old Minister Quarter, Jhamsikhel, and Arun Thapa Chowk. Power will be cut from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
The NEA said the outage was needed for maintenance work at the 132 kV substation in Patan. The authority apologized for the trouble caused to the people and said the work would be finished as soon as possible. Power could be restored earlier than planned.
